every Tuesday from June 2nd to July 30th, with June 30th being an

Ladies
The Ladies Golf
Association is in full swing and has excellent participation each week.
Last week was "Beat the Pro" day in which Asst. Pro Adam Dean
competed against the ladies.
Utilizing handicaps, many of the ladies were
able to win their individual match - a feat that Adam deemed to be
"impossible."
Everyone is looking
forward to "King for a Day" on June 17th. Each lady will invite a
gentleman to be her partner in an alternate shot match. After the
event lunch will be served and a new King and Queen will be crowned! |

Golf Tip of the Month
The putter is the most used club in
any golfer's bag. Strangely, in many cases it is the least
practiced part of the game.
The secrets to a good putting stroke are
simple but tough to learn. Here are 3 keys to a better stroke:
-
The wrists
should not break down at any point during the stroke.
Teach yourself to move the putter with your shoulders instead of
your wrists.
-
Your eyes
should be centered over the ball. A posture that is too
upright will lead to problems.
-
The rhythm of
the stroke is perhaps the most important.
The
stroke should take the same amount of time regardless of the
length of the putt.
If your stroke lasts for one second
on a 20-foot putt, it should last for one second on a 5-foot
putt.
Control your distance with the
length of your backswing, not by hitting it harder.
Master these three
elements and you will take several strokes off your game. |
