Ladies

The Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association had a very busy May. The highlight of the month came on the 19th when the ladies competed against the Pros on Beat The Pro Day.  The Ladies were triumphant in this best ball format.  The Pros immediately requested a rematch to be held on June 23rd.

The month of June will have several special days for the ladies.  June 9th will be our King for a Day competition.  Ladies will invite a gentleman to be their partner in an alternate shot competition.  Lunch will be served after.

Two of the challenges this month are "Hate 'em" and "Whack and Hack" which are always fun.

The CCLGA would like to thank Luther Minor for his help and encouragement in establishing the ladies' league.  This league would not be in existence without his guidance and caring for ladies' golf.  We wish Luther the very best in his retirement.

Golf Tip of the Month

The Impact Position

The most critical moment in the golf swing is the impact position. This is the moment where the club strikes the ball and determines where it will end up.  Most great players have several things in common at the point of impact:

1) The left arm and wrist are straight, flat, and pointed at the target.

2) Their weight has shifted to the front leg.

3) Their head is over or just behind the ball.

4) Their hips are rotated about 45 degrees past the ball.

Masters Champion Trevor Immelman demonstrates all four points perfectly:
